On the other hand, its potentials for market is substantial in terms of opening up a new market and developing new dyestuffs since European dyestuff businesses have been losing competitiveness due to the decline of the industry and rise in costs, along with environmental costs, leading to production reduction and merger, with the trend of moving their production base to Asian regions like China or India.

The prerequisite to Korea's dyestuff industry is to secure medium technology power along with human resources for research and development as well as security of machinery and materials, development of environment-friendly new dyestuffs and high-functional pigment.

One step further, product development, technology development and production sections should be combined organically with one another.
